Research in the public law domain is focused on two main topics. The first topic deals with principles which design states and governments such as democracy, rule of law, federalism, human rights, constitutional review. Special attention is given to the dynamics of principles and relations in convergent legal orders. The second topic deals with law making: the law making procedure, regulatory management and principles of proper law making. Special attention is given to law making in multilayered government.
Both topics are related. Principles of proper law making are based upon and formed by concepts of state principles and strengthened through constitutional review. Both topics deal with problems of globalization: the concept of “good governance”, the influence of supranational development on constitutional orders, problems of law making in multilevel government.
