Sebastian Baldinger is an FWO PhD Research Fellow at the Centre for Law and Cosmopolitan Values, a doctoral research student of the collaborative 'Globalisation and Legal Theory' PhD programme at the University of Antwerp, and a doctoral student of Philosophy at the University of Vienna. Under the supervision of Prof. George Pavlakos, Prof. Katrin Schaubroeck, and Ao.Univ.-Prof. Richard Heinrich, Sebastian is investigating the nature and methodologies of understanding/interpreting legal texts in connection with issues concerning the constitution and determination of the nature and content of law - on the border lines between philosophy of language and legal philosophy, legal positivism and anti-positivism - in order to develop a theory essentially oriented at the fundamental goals and purposes of law.
