Title: 'The Social Responsibility of Employers in the Informal Sector'

While corporate social responsibility has dominated most debates on economic and social ethics, very little contribution has been devoted to specific issues such as the social responsibilities of employers in the informal sector. This embarks on a detailed analysis of both the legal and ethical responsibilities of employers in the informal sector. Such attempts will invoke, debates on controversial areas such as: child labour, equitable wages, employment discrimination, safety and welfare of employees, gender equality etc. Without being exhaustive or restrictive, these lines of thought may allow participants, to lay the basis for ethical standards and the notion of "social responsibility of employers" in the informal sector in Cameroon.

In view of the above, the organising committee currently accepts papers from the following areas of research:

1- Sociological and economic analysis.
2- Ethical debates (moral philosophy, moral theology).
3- Legal debates (international conventions and national laws).
4- Civil society and the informal sector.
5- Social security.
6- Comparative Perspectives of Social Responsibility of employers in other countries.
7- Cases/studies and experiences from actors.
